About TAOHOUSE Creative

TAOHOUSE Creative is for curious, self-directed people who want to build a life and livelihood where one interesting thing keeps leading to another. It’s a place to develop your instincts, follow what makes you come alive, and make deliberate moves toward whoever you’re becoming next.

Where we remember that we’re free to choose. And where we develop simple structures and frameworks that help us choose deliberately + strategically.

The one thing required is to go all in.

Quick start

If you’re new here, the Intake session*,[link]the simple report, the newsletter, [link] and our seasonal ambient formulas (aka “feng shui sprays” + incense) are the best paths in.

Deeper dive: philosophy + background

It is endless work to deconstruct the working models we've been conditioned to hold in our minds. And we have internalized so many interrelated systems and processes that they appear impossible to navigate, much less change.

But the Taoist Five Arts give us another way in.

While the teachings can be complex, the practice is simple: developing your senses to see what matters in the moment and acting accordingly.

The Five Arts are an interlinked system of disciplines (see chart) built on observed patterns of change – the 1s and 0s of life expressed and re-expressed in 10,000 different ways.

That means Ours does not have to look like Theirs.

And that your way probably won’t look like mine.

It’s a little like having a magic flashlight that illuminates all the relevant clues. Then we get to flex our instinctive muscles, learning to decode just about anything that comes our way. Whether you’re brainy, somatic, synaesthetic, faintly psychic, etc, there’s an approach for you.

The fun (and the power) is knowing what you’re doing, but not quite knowing what will happen, and letting it happen anyway.

“The school of thought called Taoism cultivates a focused mind, the powers to control the unseen, and to enrich, support, and stabilize any and all things. ”
